There's nothing like a melody...

There's nothing like a melody...

Diane Kelley:

Diane gets to sing the melody in this fab fource-some.  She is a “new kid on the block” in barbershop, but not new to performing, having sung for many years in pop-rock bands around the Greater Boston and Metro Washington, D.C. areas.

Diane's Sweet Adeline experience began in 1997 in Region 1 (Massachusetts) where she sang only  the high notes with Merrimac Valley Chorus.  She began quartetting as a lead when she joined Harbor City Music Company in 2002, and is now a member of the championship Greater Harrisburg Chorus.

A member of Region 19's Education Team, Diane is the coordinator for Young Women in Harmony (YWIH) programs.  She spends much of her free time coaching quartets and networking with youth educators to develop youth programs and encourage exposure to the art-form.

Diane recently retired from the FDA in Rockville, MD after 31 years of service.  (Apparently she was 12 when she began her FDA career.)  Her kitty-cat, Stinka Belle, allows her to share their home in Germantown, MD.
